WELCOME BACK ROCKETS!
I am ready for a wonderful and exciting year this year, and I hope you are too! Coach Sims and I are exited to be teaching in the gym this year! We hope our students are just as excited. We have some new and some old games that we play this year. Plus we will be working on skills to make us better at these games.

Hello Rockvale Rockets! Welcome to my Coaches Corner. I am a Rockvale native, I spent my elementary days at Rockvale, my high school days at Riverdale. I then went on to play basketball at MTSU for 4 years and got my BS in Physical Education K-12. I then started my career at Rockvale Elementary in 1996. A few years later I went on to get my Masters in Exercise Science.
I got married in 2009 to my wonderful husband Andy, and with that I got to wonderful "bonus" kids. Parker 28 and Sydney 24. Parker currently works as a HVAC intern, and Sydney graduated from MTSU in Fall of 2023. She is currently working at Scales Elementary as and EA. She is starting her graduate program in the fall of 2024.
A few things that are so very important in my life are my family and my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Some of my favorite things to do when not at school is anything outside especially going to the beach, or hiking in the mountains. Watching Alabama football on Saturday's in the fall is where you can find me on any Saturday of the season. I watch a lot of sports games and love to "discuss" those games with anyone.

Another favorite is playing frisbee or ball with my dogs! Or going to the greenway for a nice long walk with them and letting them play in the river. We have an Australian Shepherd(Soda Pop) and Australian Shepherd/Beagle mix(Ziggy).
My husband says I love the dogs more than him, that is not true, but a close 2nd for sure:).
I just hope that I can share my love and knowledge of sport and life skills to spread kindness in this crazy world and for every child that I meet knows that I will love and keep the safe while they are in my care.
