Dear Parents,
Welcome to 3rd Grade at Rockvale Elementary School. I will be your child’s math and science teacher this year. I am excited about having your child in class. I have high expectations for your child, and will do my best to help your child achieve those expectations.
Homework is a time to practice what has been introduced in class. It is very important. Students will usually be given time to work on assignments in class; however, it is their responsibility to complete any unfinished work at home and return it to school the following day. Incomplete work takes away from learning and affects grades. Your help and support is greatly appreciated.
Communication is very important. Agendas will come home daily and should be signed each night by a parent. Graded papers will come home periodically in your child’s folder. Please look over the papers and let us know if you have any questions. Progress reports will be sent home midway through the grading period. Please sign and return these, as well. If you have questions about your child’s grades or progress, please contact me.
Again, I am super excited about the upcoming school year. I believe if we all work together…we will all succeed!
